Movement & Exercise
Chair Dancing
Every Thursday morning at 10:30, join us for Chair Dancing. We listen to favourite music while moving and stretching, all seated. Guaranteed a fun time.
Chair Yoga
We follow a virtual chair yoga class together as a group. It is a great way to stretch your body in the morning!
Nordic Pole Walking Group
With support from Recreation Nova Scotia, we now have 12 Nordic Walking Pole sets. Join us for a light walk in the neighbourhood. No experience necessary. It is a great low-impact exercise.
Cards & Games
Crib Club
Join us for Crib Club to play crib with a team of 2 or 4 players. Teams are created on-the-day. For all skill levels and new players are always welcome!
Trivia
Test your knowledge on all topics, including: Music, Movies, Geography, History, and many more! Trivia is often played in the form of a group Jeopardy game.
Bingo
Every Tuesday at 1:00, the Centre is buzzing with Bingo! There are regular games, specials, 50/50 draw, and a progressive jackpot. Money collected from the sale of cards is returned in prizes. Everyone is welcome to join in.

Brain Games
Join us for a variety of brain games, including Wordle, Lexicon Puzzles, and Crosswords!
Computer Labs & Tech Buddies
We have two computers for you to use. We also offer Tech Buddies - a program where you can receive help on all things tech! For example, help setting up an email, or accessing a specific website.
Social Programs
Karaoke
On Friday afternoon, join us for Karaoke and Happy Hour. Select your favourite songs and sing them for your friends. No need to be a professional singer, or even in tune, for that matter. Just come and have fun!
Coffee & Conversation
Every Friday morning we gather for a warm cup of coffee or tea and conversation with one another. This is a great time to meet new people or simply meet up with good friends.
Book Club
If you enjoy reading and talking about books in good company, the Book Club welcomes you. We read a new book each month and the group meets on the last Wednesday of the month for book club.
The Two Houses Theatre
This theatre troupe had its beginnings in bringing together seniors and youth in original plays. Spencer House and Laing House are the original two “houses.” Each play is written and directed by Mark DeWolf, a member of the Centre and the Board of Directors. Actors of all ages, experiences, and abilities meet for practices weekly at Spencer House. They are always welcoming new members.

Tax Clinics
We offer annual tax clinics here at the Centre.
Wellness Cafe
With support from the Mental Health Foundation, Wellness Cafe is a senior-focused peer support group. Stay tuned for our next Wellness Cafe program!
Foot Care Clinics
Foot Care Clinics are now being offered twice per month! Advanced & Diabetic Foot Care offered by LPN Phyllis McDonald and Kevin Whynot.
The fee is $40.00 per appointment.
